You have a society, association, or organization that has outgrown itself.  There is no office to hold records or call when you have a question.  Keeping track of members' vital info becomes a logistical nightmare.  Member addresses and phone numbers change, the phone tree is ineffective and outdated, and keeping an updated roster is all but impossible.  The group eventually loses touch and suffers from a lack of centralization.
